Frequently Asked Questions
13 questions about YPH Studio print-on-demand
How does it work?
Print on demand (POD) is a simple and exciting process: you choose a product — for example, a poster or a phone case — and upload your design.
When a customer places an order in your shop, the order details are passed to production. The product is made to order, packed and shipped directly to your customer.
This means you don't need to produce and store posters or phone cases in advance. A product is made only once it has been sold.
A typical workflow:
Get inspired by the visuals of current bestsellers on e-commerce platforms — but remember to respect copyright and never infringe it.
- Choose a product in the YPH Studio ecosystem.
- YPH Studio prepares your file in the sizes you need, together with mockups you can publish in your online shop.
- Open an account and publish your listing on TikTok Shop, Etsy or your own e-commerce store.
- Make a sale.
- Pay for the order and pass its details to the YPH Studio ecosystem for production.
- We produce the item and check its quality.
- We pack it.
- We deliver it by courier to your customer.
- You receive the tracking number, if you chose a tracked shipping option in the YPH Studio ecosystem.
And don't forget to run your business properly registered and to pay your taxes.
How much does it cost?
The price depends on the product, your monthly volume, the size, the design and the destination country.
If you are an experienced seller, write to us privately at info@yourprinthouse.eu and we'll agree an individual price for your project and volume.
You can check prices easily in the Your Profit Calculator section.
- Posters: the price depends mostly on the size and the paper you choose.
- Phone cases: one price for every model — only the shipping method changes.
Is there a minimum order? Can I order just one?
Yes, you can. The advantage of print on demand is that you don't need to order large quantities up front.
Feel free to order a single item as a test. Each product is made at the moment it is ordered.
Personalisation is also possible — a valuable way to sell more.
Can I order a sample?
Yes. Before you start selling a product actively, we recommend ordering a sample. It lets you check in person how your design looks.
How long does production take?
Production time depends on the product and on the season in which the order is placed. For most YPH Studio products, the average fulfilment time is about 1–3 working days.
That is the time needed to make the product and prepare it for shipping. Important: production time is not the same as delivery time.
How does delivery work?
We ship posters, phone cases and our other products internationally. Delivery cost and speed depend on:
- The customer's country
- The product
- The order quantity
- The delivery method chosen
We use the fastest delivery options available, working with leading international couriers such as DHL, FedEx and UPS, and with national postal services such as Royal Mail, La Poste, Deutsche Post and USPS.
Where can I see tracking?
Once an order has been made and shipped, it is given a tracking number — if tracking is available for the delivery method chosen.
Tracking lets you follow where the product is, which matters most in the busy season, when postal services face delays.
The order status is usually visible on your e-commerce platform or in the fulfilment system, while your customer can receive the tracking details by email or find them next to their purchase on the platform.
This means fewer customers writing to support to ask: “Where is my order?”
What about returns and refunds?
There are two different situations here.
The customer simply changes their mind. Because posters and phone cases are made for a specific order, personalised or made-to-order products usually don't carry the same return rights as standard stock items. For example, if a customer ordered a phone case for a particular phone model and then changed their mind, that doesn't necessarily mean a refund is possible.
The product is damaged or faulty. Here YPH Studio takes full responsibility. If the product is damaged, made incorrectly or has a production defect, a refund or a reprint may be available.
The YPH Studio ecosystem has a dedicated Claim section. Submit the problem to support following the procedure for the service concerned — usually with the order details and photos that clearly show the issue. If it is confirmed as a production defect or error, you'll receive a reprint and reshipment or a refund, depending on the situation.
Can I change something after placing an order?
That depends on how far the order has progressed in production. While its status is Ready to Print, you can delete the order yourself, and the amount you paid returns to your wallet automatically.
Once the status is Picked, changes are no longer possible.
That's why it's especially important to check everything before you confirm an order:
- The product
- The size or phone model
- The design
- The delivery address
For phone cases, pay particular attention to the exact phone model.
Do you offer integrations?
YPH Studio doesn't offer integrations yet, but you can use CSV files to pass on your orders more easily.
What are the design requirements?
Print files follow the same rules as any standard printing job. Ideally your design is 300 dpi; the minimum is 170 dpi, and anything else we review case by case.
If a file isn't suitable for printing, someone from our production team will contact you — usually as a message on the order itself.
Most of our printing uses CMYK plus light inks.
What about VAT, taxes and customs?
How taxes apply depends on where the seller is based, where the buyer is, and where the product is made and shipped from.
The simplest option is to register as a self-employed taxpayer. As your order volume grows, a limited liability company (an SIA in Latvia) usually becomes the most suitable tax setup.
